The convent Champakara came into being as a result of the fulfilment of the heart desires of the parishioners and the parish priest of Champakara to have a Clarist convent in their parish. The convent was started on 27 May 1978. The sisters teach in the L.P. school there and run the nursery school. Also they carry out the pastoral activities like conducting house visits, prayer meets, prayer services in the parish, teaching in Sunday school, animating the different pious associations of the parish etc with very dedication.
