St. Joseph's Convent Mannarkunnu, Kottayam and St. Gregorious U.P. School came into being in the year 1966. In 1978 St. George English Medium School was also set up. The prime concern of these  two schools is to provide primary education to the local people residing in the interior region. Most of the sisters in the convent work in these two schools and also render their whole hearted services in all the pastoral activities of the parish.
